Mission Big Helper

Howdy, howdy, agents.

Me, behind on the mission again? Yup. But my kindly second-in-command, with the suggestion of a regular lowly agent, suggested to reuse a mission from December (the one of 2022). Good gracious, over a year has passed since the forming of the ISA?

For this mission, I propose Mission Big Helper, should you choose to accept it.

Part One: a challenge. January is the month for resolutions, ja? Also for returns, but that’s besides the point.

This month, see if you can resolve to make a resolution that centers around others, not yourself. Eg., “complete every ISA mission this year” [to help others, of course, not at all because I make them 😇], or “train the dog not to bark at the mailman,” or “tell my family I love and appreciate them at least once a year.”

Part Two: an assignment. This is the Incognito SMILE Agency, remember, so don't go and tell your mom that you just cleaned all the toilets. (Yeah, I stole that line from last year’s post, but come on, wasn’t it witty?).

Mission Little Helper was helping with little stuff, and, well, so is Mission Big Helper. In fact, in case you can’t think of things to do yourself, here’s the list I probably made someone help with for Mission Little Helper, with a few seasonal modifications:

Ideas include, but are by no means limited to: Folding/and or putting away someone else’s laundry. Putting fresh sheets on someone else's bed. Hanging fresh towels in the bathroom. Restocking the toilet paper (bonus if you sneak in a few rolls of this). Unloading the dishwasher. Taking out the trash. Organizing the closet, shed, garage, or rabbit's lair. Wiping the baseboards or the air vents. Dusting the ceiling fan blades. Making sure the dragon isn't going hungry, the potted plants aren't at death's door, or the Christmas tree isn’t still up.

I'm sure you can think of more. If you're stuck, ask the parrot. If she wants a cracker, either get a new bird, stop letting her watch pirate movies, or hand her a soapy sponge and show her to the dirty dishes.

And there you have it. A slightly-but-not-terribly late mission. Like always, post in the ISA Slack group once completed, or if you’re not there, just shoot me an email at neverstoptherain@yahoo.com, and I might get back to that in a few months.
